CINCINNATI, Ohio - The University of Rhode Island volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback at the hands of Xavier University Friday night in Atlantic 10 action at the Cintas Center. The Musketeers (22-8, 11-2 Atlantic 10) captured game one 30-10, game two 30-20, and game three 30-22.

Junior Chinny Okpara (Apple Valley, Calif.), sophomore Caitlyn Welsh (Narraganasett, R.I.), and freshman Lauren McIntosh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) each recorded six kills to lead the Rams (13-14, 5-7 Atlantic 10). Senior Kaira Kachadurian (Fresno, Calif.) tallied 18 assists and junior Peggy Doino (Deer Park, N.Y.) recorded a team-high 12 digs for URI.

Jill Quayle paced the Musketeers with 13 kills and seven blocks (two solo). Hillary Otte posted 11 kills and Claire Paszkiewicz tallied a match-high 23 assists.

The Rams close the regular season with a 4 p.m. game against No. 16 Dayton on Saturday afternoon in Dayton, Ohio.
