Rams Compete at the Paul Short Invitational

Click here for full Paul Short Invitational results BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team finished 39th overall in the Paul Short Invitational "Brown" race this afternoon. Rhody compiled 1096 points. Villanova took home the team title, with 50 points. Nate Ruchames led the way for the Rams, finishing 155th overall. He covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:19. Matthew Gallagher placed 206th, clocking a time of 26:52. Ryan Karwiel (229th, 27:18), Chris Bienkiewicz (242nd, 27:47) and Cornelius McCaffery (264th, 29:10) rounded out the URI scorers. Jaymeson Kumm (267th, 29:28) rounded out the Rhody finishers. Villanova's Bobby Curtis took individual honors, clocking 23:39. Next up for the Rams is the Oct. 6 New England Championship, held at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
