JAMES N. ADAMS JR. '58, an outstanding football and basketball player in the mid-1950s at URI, gained unparalleled success in basketball as head coach of the Central High (Providence, R.I.) team, as assistant coach at Providence College, and as head coach at Rhode Island College.
