KINGSTON, R.I. - The 1984 and 1985 Rhode Island football teams will be inducted into the URI Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 7 in ceremonies at the West Valley Inn (4 Blossom St., West Warwick, R.I.). The dinner and induction ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. following a cocktail hour.

The 1984 and 1985 football teams each won the Lambert Cup as the top team in the East and posted 10-3 record while advancing to the I-AA Playoffs each season. Coach Bob Griffin was named conference and regional coach of the year honors.
